The Internal Auditing World Wide Web ( IAWWW ) was conceived, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth College by John K. Peterson,  as a production prototype demonstration project.  The hope was that the IAWWW may be able to act as a warehouse of information and knowledge pertaining to the Internal Auditing Profession and Functions across all associations, industries and countries.

This site has been selected to be included in Business Compass.  Business Compass is designed as a tool for business professionals who want to search valuable content on the Internet as they search traditional online research services such as UMI, IAC and Lexis/Nexis
